Visit to the DR
On Wednesday I got to go to the Doctor for my 2 month checkup. Mama didn't prep me for the shots...truth is, she forgot about them until we got there! I had to have FOUR shots and Mama cried just as much as I did. Good thing Daddy was there to hold me; Mama is such a chicken! However, I survived the needles. Then Mama decided to promptly fed me to calm me down (I had a little left in the bottle from my last feeding). And I just as promptly threw it all up. :-)
On to more exciting news. I weighed in at 14 lbs, which would be in the 97th percentile! Holy cow I'm a BIG baby! Good news is, I'm proportionate; I'm also in the 90th percentile for height (23 inches). I'm eating an average of 34 oz of formula a day. The Dr said that I don't need cereal yet, but if Mama and Daddy wanted to, they could start next month. Instead, they settled on yogurt...yogurt??? The Dr said if I have a little yogurt each day it will add "happy" bacteria to my insides that will help fight off gas bubbles. He also said I could have any flavor (babies supposedly like lemon) but that no one should have to eat PLAIN yogurt! So, Mama decided on vanilla. They should have had the camera ready when they gave it to me; I made some really "cute" faces!
M & D (short for Mama and Daddy) had me on a really cool schedule....I started sleeping "through the night" on Sunday (the 19th). I kept doing better (longer) each night until I threw their silly schedule out the window!!! Now I have them guessing again. Who knew that being me was going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!
On Wednesday, I started going about 4 to 5 hours between meals ...about 5 feedings per day, still about 6 to 7 oz per feeding. We'll see if this lasts. I might wait for Mama to get into her schedule "groove" and then switch it all around again!!!
Now, for some fun pics of me!

Uncle Sam Wants You!

Holy Cheeks!
Mama was trying to get a picture of me sitting up...she had to hold me and take the picture! Camera was a little too close, flash a little too bright...but the cheeks say it all!

Hot Stuff!
I love to sit up! I have mastered the whole head thing (no more bobble head...just bobble body). Mama decided to see how well I would do in my high chair...I LOVED IT! Check me out!
Where's the Beef?

Denied.

Don't worry my beautiful one! You will survive these first time parents and their schedule. :) You keep them guessing, darling!! Nanna loves you. :)
