Soccer Time
This past Sunday Nana came over to watch Evan and Jen and I took the kids to a big time soccer game. Manchester United, one of the best teams in England’s premiership, was in town as part of their summer tour of the US. First stop on the tour was against our very own Kansas City Wizards.
With 55,000 of our closest friends we cheered the Wizards on to a 2-1 victory. Man U didn’t bring all of their starters but it was still a great time and a pretty exciting game.
Little did we know when we purchased the tickets that our seats faced the sun, which wasn’t a big deal at the beginning since it was cloudy but about 30 minutes into it all it was very hot.
Shortly before half-time we joined the migrating fans as we walked around the top of the stadium to the other side that was in the shade.
On the other side of the stadium we saw an interesting bunch of fans. Not really sure what their story was but they were fun to watch as the jumped, sang and had a good time.

Looks like you had a great time! The kids faces do look cooked, probably just from being hot though. That must have been neat, and it was nice of Nana to watch Evan so you could all go. A couple more years and he’ll be a soccer star too. Miss you all.
