A visit from the police

The other day while at Walmart Jen picked up a new toy for the kids, she then proceeded to send me a text message that said she should not be allowed to take the kids to Walmart. The toy she bought was a police car rider, why we needed another rider is a story for another day.

Here are the boys in the new rider.

And here is a shot of the whole thing, which you can see is actually pretty cool.

So today Jen sends me a text message that reads, the police were just at our house, yikes I think. I text her back and ask if Evan dialed 911, since he loves to grab anything with buttons and start pushing them. Nope, she says.

As it turns out the whole thing was even more innocent than that. Jen was outside with Evan and Jon playing with the rider, it was cold so she left Jon out to take Evan inside. She gets inside and as soon as she turns around she sees Jon talking to a guy in a car, then the emergency lights start to flash. Her heart dropped as she thought that Jon was in the road and the lights were for him. Before she can get outside the local sheriff’s cruiser drives off.

Jon was just having a chat with the nice officer who was admiring his car. Jon said, he asked me if I had lights and sirens? To which he said yes and turned them on. Then the officer showed Jon his lights.

I am sure that pretty much made Jon’s day and gave mommy a couple of gray hairs.

What a greay story. Mommy deserves some grey hairs. She gave me a few of mine! The car is cute. Is there any room in the garage for any of the real cars?
Love you all and looking forward to seeing you soon.

Nice ride! I’ll bet the police man was jealous! After seeing how excited Jon was to go on a firetruck and meet the firemen, I’m sure he was thrilled that the officer stopped and chatted! Too cool!
    Love and miss you
