December 19 - December 25

By Mama

Merry Christmas!
The beginning of the week Ray and the kids and I just bummed around the house (and took zero pictures!) and then I went to Connecticut for my 10 year high school reunion. I have a few pictures from that, but none that I would allow on the blog!!! And, well, on Christmas morning, I got ONE picture of the kids opening their stockings and then it was a free for all on the presents! I hope you all had a great Christmas and had as much fun as our kids did! Jon doesn't look too happy in this pic, but what can I say...he really wanted breakfast, not a bunch of cars and balls! Thanks SANTA! Lily, on the other hand, was all about the presents. When I pointed out that Santa had brought her "big girl underwear" and he would be really happy if she used the potty and I asked her if she wanted to, she looked me dead in the eye and said "no". So, there you have it. Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone! It sounds like you all had a good christmas and Santa was good to you all! Lily, you should listen to Santa about the "big girl underwear", if you do he may bring you something extra cool next year for christmas! Well I am glad that you all had a good holiday and I hope the new year is wonderful for you all!!

Love you guys!

Ray,
I'm saving my favorite expression for you the next time I see you! Man, I'm third to post and no notice has even been sent yet. I checked in to see if it was possible that maybe, just maybe, I could be first again.
I know that you all had a great Christmas and I'm looking forward to using my new photo TV/phone and get to see you guys while we talk. I just brought home the TV I won in May and now we can connect that up to the phone. We'll be in business in no time.
I wish all of you a very Happy New Year--yeah, even you, Ray! I wish Lily lots of luck with her tonsil and adnoids removal. Either Bev or I will be there to help out. Then we look forward to seeing you in March!!
Mem can't wait! We'll have several full houses, but there is no better house than one full of kids!
Love you all,
Muma

I think Ray turned off the post alert when Jen wasn't looking!
I am glad you had a great Christmas! I was so glad to see you, Jen! I hope you all liked your presents!!!

December 12 - December 18 (J-Week 52)

By Mama

Happy Birthday Jon!!
We all made it through Jon's first year!!! And what a year it was. Jon celebrated by opening presents, having Lily open presents and cupcakes for everyone. Jon REALLY enjoyed his cupcake, that is, after he realized that you could EAT it. Jon got some great gifts from everyone and he and Lily had a ball playing with all of them. THANK YOU!

Little Miss Dainty
Lily was a bit daintier with her cupcake.

Shaving Cream?
Painting with shaving cream. Yet another way I amuse my children.

My Gym
Our little friend Bailey has a birthday this month too and they had a party at a place called "My Gym". The kids had a great time and we were all worn out by the end. (But did we nap afterwards???? NO!)
Thanks for the pics, Heather!

Christmas Cookies
On Sunday we had fun making Christmas cookies with Nana.

First post, yes!!!
I have never seen two kids eat cupcakes so fast. Once Jon got a taste of what it was I don't think he spilled a crumb.

Posted by: Daddy at December 19, 2005 09:28 PM

Happy belated birthday to Jon!!! It looks like he and Lily really enjoyed the cake! :-) The shaving cream looked fun, at least it smelled nice and clean! You guys are way too cute!!

love,
Niki

Okay Ray
This is so unfair. I haven't even gotten a note yet that said the site was updated. You, not only live there, you're off all week. I used to be 1st to post a note all the time. I still have to make cookies, it's eleven at night, and I'm third to post a note. Life is so unfair!
Okay, great pics! I'm so glad that Jon had a great birthday! He looks like he totally enjoyed that cupcake. Usually you do white cake--so it doesn't look so bad--but chocolates my favorite too!
The shaving cream looked like fun--I'm sure I would never have thought of that. Whipped cream with chocolate topping, maybe--but not shaving cream.
Love you all, and it was great to see Jen and Lily. Looking forward to another visit! Gotta go--cookies to make!!!!!!
Love always,
Muma

Did I get removed from the new posting alerts!? This has turned into a fun little competition! See kids, we are already fighting for your affection!! :-)
Happy Birthday, Jon! You guys look like you had lots of fun celebrating your big day!

Hi--I'm posting twice--does that count almost as much as being first???? I love the pic of Jon hanging from the pole. He sure is a strong little guy--look out Lily!
I forgot to wish him a Happy Birthday on the blog which is the real reason I'm posting twice.
Happy Birthday, Jon!!!!!!
Love you all,
Muma

Hi All,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON!!! Sure looks like you enjoyed your cake! You wear it well. Looks like you are getting to be such a big boy and so strong hanging on the bars too! I think Lily better start being real nice to you soon! You are both just so cute, love all the pics, thanks for keeping us close Jen.

December 5 - December 11 (J-Week 51)

By Mama

Florida!
Lily and I left for Florida during a HUGE snowstorm that dumped 12 inches of snow on Ray and Jon. We also avoided the deep freeze of NEGATIVE 4 degrees! We had an awesome time in Florida!
Playing with Mem

And Gracie!
Yes, Gracie does look scared. Lily was very gentle but I think Gracie was having flashbacks! Gracie is doing really well with Mem and Pep. They spoil her way more than any dog has ever been spoiled! She loves them and I'm very happy she's there.

The Zoo
Auntie Bev and Uncle Art took us to the zoo. I spent most of the day on Uncle Dan's or Uncle Art's shoulders. It is the preferred method of travel for one of my stature.

Fun!
We had lots of fun making things at the zoo. Lily and Aunt Bev made a penny and a plastic manatee and a plastic camel. Lily gave the camel to Muma and when we got back to Kansas and she found the manatee she said "Where's my camel?" I told her that she gave it to Muma. "Muma give it back", she said. She's got such a mind of her own now!

And Gracie Again
She really is spoiled. This is how she spends most of her day.

Decorating Muma
Lily liked making Muma sparkle.

Airplane!
They had a neat play area at the Tampa airport. Here's Lily in a plane!

Daddy & Jon
My, how well they got along. Poor Jon. That's a marshmallow stuck on his nose. Apparently it was there the whole time we were gone. :-) Love you Ray!

Rock on! First post again! (Sorry Ray!)
Lily your hair is getting so long! It looks like you girls had a great time in Florida (Hello everyone in Florida)! Jon and Ray were saving that marshmallow for later... who needs real food when the girls are gone! I bet they ate fun stuff and played all day!

I really enjoyed going to the zoo with you guys, although I did miss not seeing Jon! It was still a lot of fun! I think it's great that Lily bonded with her uncle Dan, and it was good for him too, even if he won't admit it to anyone! :-) Muma looked great Lily!! I think Jon and Daddy did pretty well alone, a week with a marshmallow isn't so bad! :-) Well, it was great to see everyone and it was lots of fun, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!!

Love you all!!

Hi All,
Glad to hear Daddy and Jon had fun while the girls were gone. Lily was so much fun to visit with,(we missed you Jon & Ray). There seems to be one photo missing from their visit though, the one with the bird on Jen's head. I think she needs to add that one. It was too cute and Lily was such a good sport when all the birds landed on and around her. We miss you already!!!

November 28 - December 4 (J-Week 50)

By Mama

SNAP!

Marbles!
It's way more fun for me to play with the kids if I like the toys, too! I had more fun building this marble slide than Lily had playing with it! Actually, she really did like playing with it and was very upset when she accidentally knocked it over.

This post is late, but I love Lily's hair do. And Jon looks like he is really starting to investigate places and things! Should be fun now!!! He really looks like he is having lots of fun. And Lily is so creative with building things, counting, and making things, gotta love it! Miss you all

Lily Takes Mama's Picture
Okay, so the camera was on the tripod and all she had to do was hit the button; but she had a ball doing it!

First post again, rock!!!

It is good to finally see a picture of mama on the blog.

Now if we can only get Jon to actually use the vacuum instead of just playing with it.

WOW! I'm so impressed with how timely you've been updating the site lately! :) :) Lily your Christmas outfit is DARLING! You are such a princess. And congrats on inheriting mommy's photography skills, i can see you have talent! Jon you are as handsome as ever (ok even a bit more now that you are showing your cleaning abilities) Feel free to come over & clean our house anytime! :)
Hope to see you soon! We really missed playing with you all on Monday. Thanks for including Bailey on your website again. She thinks she's a movie star when she sees herself on the computer. :)

Hi Jennifa,
I have a message for Ray--seeing he's the first one to sign on again! Not Fair! I haven't been getting a notice that it's been updated. Jennifa--did you cut me off your list???? Cute pics! I am so excited about you and Lily coming to visit!!!!!! We have lots of fun things to do when you come. You'll be so busy that you'll want to go home to Jon and rest--NOT! I know, he's a handful--he's just so cute, though! Lily looks adorable in her Christmas outfit. Photography seems to run in the family! Lily took a great shot of you, and Lizzy Lucy has been helping Auntie Beveee taking shots of puppies and kittens. Between Auntie Beveee and Uncle Ronnie I'm sure it's in the genes!
Hey, if Jonathan's really getting the hang of the vac, your house will be all nice and clean when you get home!
Ray, enjoy your time with Jon and I'll see you when I visit in March!
Love you all
Muma
