Just Jon

Lily & Jon

Mama
Self Portrait

Thank Goodness!
Jon would hold his own bottle as long as HE was being held. If you put him down he would scream in disgust. Finally, we have found peace.

Bad Hair Day?
This is a pic that Ray took. He's getting to be great with my camera (lots of buttons!) Lily had her hair in pigtails and she decided it would be more fun to ride Ned (Large, springy rocking horse) that way. This is the result.

Dear Mama
Just Jon was too cute! He's growing up so fast! He'll be chasing Lily in no time--you are in such trouble. Bad hair day was definitely the title for Lily's pic. She looks like a madwoman with a plan in mind! Keep trimming her hair, it's beatiful!
Love you all,
Muma

Hi All,
Looks like Jon is almost able to keep up playing with Lily. Looks like he'll be an early walker! Then you'll really be in trouble. Love the closeup of him, and the one of Lily with the hair is too cute! Jen's closeup is cute too! Miss you all.

The pics are fantastic. I love Jailed! Lily looks cute noe matter what she's in and she looks adorable in all her hats. I love the bubble pic too! I can believe that Jon's crawling. He was so close to it when you were here. Walking's next--and then you're really in trouble!
Everyone should have a big blow up toy in their living room. I guess I'll have to get one for your next visit--NOT!
Love you all and miss you lots.

Please tell me you don't have a moon walk room in your house?!?!? Now I've seen everything! Love to see Lily in all her hats, she was so funny at the store when she picked that one out, glad she enjoys it and cute to see Jon is following in her footsteps liking hats. And the pigpile on Jon brings back memories, doesn't it?
Love all the pictures, I knew Jon would be crawling as soon as you left, he was just so close! Thanks for keeping us up to date, this is just such a big pick me up to be able to see the kids and all of you!

Hi guys, Wow, I just ck'd page and can't believe that Lily. She looks so cool in dancing class and, of course, I love her independent attitude. Will those tendons (can't spell em) lengthen thru dance, walking or will she need therapy? I still think she looks neat walking on her toes. Jon, he's incredible too. Can't believe how quickly he is growing. Jen, how do you find the time to do this blog, take care of family and keep those hardwood floors so SHINY? Jen & Ray, your kids are just too beautiful and look so happy. What a great life you guys give them. You are all WONDERFUL!! Love ya, us Bulls

A Trip To Florida
What a week! On Thursday we (me, Lily, Jon & Nana) flew to Florida to visit with my relatives. Ray and Gracie joined us on Friday. Gracie will be staying in Florida with Mem and Pep. So far, Gracie is in seventh heaven, she gets to be cuddled by Mem ALL DAY LONG!
Even though the kids love her very much (as do I), and she loves the kids, we thought it would be best for her to be out of harms way. READ: Lily & Jon! They ALL love to play together and Gracie thinks she is a big black lab and has come close to getting squished a few times. We miss her greatly but are very happy that she is in such loving hands (all day long.)

Florida - Day 1 - Friday
Jon Passes Out Cold On Memere
And the rest of us hang out at the pool!

Florida - Day 2 - Saturday
We went to visit Uncle Dan and Aunt Niki in their new house. It's beautiful and we had fun visiting and can't wait for them to come visit us in August. Sorry, no pics!
Uncle Ronnie's 50th
Uncle Ronnie turned 50 this year and there was a small celebration for him at his house. Lily got to meet their animals (and there are many!)
Here she is with cousin Erica and Magic.

Florida - Day 3 - Sunday
In the AM we relaxed by the pool. Later, Peggy and I brought Ray to the airport and then we went to Busch Gardens to see Rhythm of the Night by Burn the Floor (a dance group). However, we were greatly disappointed to find out that it was last summer's event even though it was posted on their website! We did, however, manage to tour around and we got to see the gorillas!

When The Cat's Away, The Mice Will Play!
Uncle Art taught Lily how to trace her foot and it appears to be the hit of the evening!

Grandpa & Jon
Apparently, Jon can only scoot backwards and ends up in odd places...

Florida - Day 4 - Monday
Auntie Bevee, Lily and I went shopping while Nana chilled poolside with Jon. Lily got a new hat that she wears all the time! We were spoiled rotten by Aunt Bev.
Monday night we celebrated Lily's 2nd Birthday - she's growing up so quickly! (Alright, so we celebrated 3 weeks early...)

Presents!
Aunt Bev gave Lily her first real gold necklace and it has a charm that couldn't be more fitting: Princess! And, thank you Uncle Art for the drums...

MUMA
Muma seemed to squeeze out of most pictures, but she was always around. This has been one of my best trips down there with her and I can't thank her enough for all that she does. :-)

She actually helped in ridding Lily o her binki! she's been without a binki since Sunday. On that morning there must have been a dog hair or something on her binki and she just couldn't deal so I asked her if it was broken and she said "yes" and so I asked her if she wanted to throw it away. And she did. There's been a few trying moments but we just remind her that she threw it. Mom got to put her down the first night without it...better her than me!

I miss you all already--come back to Florida!!!
The pics are all great--nice job with the blog. It was nice having everyone here. Gracie is doing well at Mem & Peps. They try to share her equally, but Mem wins out--she's in the house more! Love you all.

Hi All,
We miss you guys so much! It's no fun to get up now that the smiley face is gone! Jon was such a cutie every morning. Uncle Art wants to know how Lily likes her drums or if you hid them yet??? He said Jon isn't Lumpy anymore! Well it was fun to see you all, miss you lots already!

Can He Get Any Happier?

Construction Or Destruction?
A little bit of both. Work on "the Wall" continues. Dan will be coming up in a few weeks to help out. Niki's coming too, but she and I are partying with the kidos. In this pic, Ray's the one with the orange hat; the other guy is our neighbor, Randy, who helped out tremendously with the bobcat. Thanks for all the hard work!

Oh My
Lily and Jon were "riding" this horse. You can't see the horse because I was trying to get Lily to put her arms around Jon (so he wouldn't topple off). She had done it moments before I got my camera but she wanted to steal the glory for herself I guess...she was trying to push him off...

Stop Taking Pictures And FEED ME!

Oh S#@t!
The bruiser grabbing Jon by the shirt is Colin, is the son of good friends of ours, Todd & Maggie. He's exactly one week older than Jon and at least 5 pounds heavier! He's a cutie though.

Four Kids
Our friends needed an escape from "the city" and dropped their two boys off on the way out. Jackson (6) and Devin (4) spent Friday and Saturday night with us. We all had a ball, especially Lily who got a treat: staying up late for popcorn and a movie.

It looks like Dan has his work cut out for him when he comes to visit! I swear Jon's hair looks like it's growing! The kids are getting SO BIG! I miss you guys!

It was really great seeing ya'll on Monday. I'm sorry we didn't get to see Jon in action. Uncle Bob really enjoyed Lily.

Don't wait so long to come back.

Posted by: Aunt Susan at July 29, 2005 06:43 PM

Hi to All!
They're getting so big. You can really notice it in their individual blogs. There seems to be a theme going in Jon's blog--a fox one.
So, did you drop the camera and catch Jon as Lily tried to push him off the horse???
Four kids--that's a lot! Don't know how you do it! Would you enjoy that on a regular basis?? Thanks for keeping us posted. Looking forward to seeing the blog for last week!
Love you lots!

Drop my camera? Are you kidding? Jon had to hang on for dear life. Actually, I'm not really sure how I got the picture but no one was hurt.

A Beautiful Rocking Horse
Uncle Mark was very busy making this beautiful horse. He claims it's for Jon as he's very happy there's finally a boy in the family of mostly girls. However, since Lily IS the oldest and the only one able to ride it, she got first dibs. She absolutely loves it. We can't thank you enough Uncle Mark for this wonderful family treasure.

A Wedding
Congrats to Kim & Jim (AND Mitchell!)
We all went to Oklahoma to celebrate their marraige and it was a great trip!

Hi Again,

Pulling Up!
Yup. Jon has learned to pull himself up. He can only get to his knees but it won't be long! In this pic he was trying again. Notice the red mark on his forehead from a previous crash and burn. (If I only had my camera then!)

Hot 4th Of July Parade
So hot that we skipped the pool party and went home to eat our congo bars that we were supposed to bring to the party!

What a great series of pictures this week! It looks like you are all having such a fun summer. Jon you are getting so big that we barely even recognize you anymore & Lily you are most definitely losing your "baby" look & look like such a cute little girl now. Hope we can see you all before the summer is over. We are heading up to the Farmers Market in the morning, maybe we'll see you there?!
