Priceless

Reading With Nana

Pouring
Lily showed Muma how she learned to pour. Without spilling! She's growing up so quickly.

Muma Visits!
A short visit it was, but we managed to pack it full of fun! Muma and I went shopping (thank you for all the new clothes, I feel like a new person!). We played with the kids and did crafty things and ate lots of things Ray doesn't normally let me eat (READ: CHOCOLATE for BREAKFAST!!!) We had a blast and the kids really enjoyed their time with Muma and can't wait to see everyone else in Florida at the end of July!
After Jon's initial reaction to Muma (he woke up from his nap in the car to find her staring at him and he screamed bloody murder!) She couldn't look at him the whole ride home. After he adjusted to her, he didn't want to let her go! Lily was really cute; she would go looking for Muma if she wasn't around. She played really well and really enjoyed the attention from her. We miss her already. It was hard to bring her to the airport. :-(

Switched At Birth
We are quite convinced that our real son is sleeping through the night at someone else's house and we've been left with an IMPOSTER! He may look like his Daddy but he's not pasty white like the rest of us!

Hi to All,
You're right about that first picture - PRICELESS! That is too funny. I love the car wash series too, looks more like a Lily wash! Glad you had a lot of fun with Muma, heard you did a lot of shopping. Can't wait till we see you all in Florida, more shopping! Miss you all, Art can't wait to see if the lump is not a lump anymore!

Every picture in this series was priceless! Too cute! Lily, you can come wash my car anyday! Miss you lots!
Posted by: Auntie Katherine at July 7, 2005 10:13 AMJennifa,
I miss you! Seeing the pics make me miss you more. It was so much fun and I can't wait to see you again. The kids were really great, you're a wonderful Mom and Ray's a great Dad. Thank you both for making it a fun weekend.
Love you all!

Jon Celebrates His Half Birthday!
Nana came over for a visit and Lily thought she was the entertainment for the day. Jon has taken up the keyboard.

Jon's First Cookie
Lily used to bite off the end of the Biter Biscuits and then try to swallow it whole. Jon is much more refined and less cave-woman-like. He gnaws on it until it is one big gooey mess. But he LOVES them!

Folding Hands
Lily is learning to fold her hands and cross her legs.

Vowels Video
Lily is learning her vowels. Daddy taught her.

Farmers Market
On Wednesday in Overland Park there is a Farmers Market. I decided to take the kids because I thought Lily would enjoy the water bubbler (thanks to Roger the Plumber!) Did anyone know that my girl GLOWS?

Ned
Our neighbors, the Deckards, brought over a new toy for Lily and she just absolutely loves it. Check out this smile.

Ready To Ride

Flying Nana
On Saturday, Nana decided to try her luck by flying on the trapeze. This is one of her many celebrations of being 60!

Daddy, Lily and Jon Watching Nana Fly

Happy Father's Day!
Daddy and Lily both got new sunglasses for Father's Day. Daddy's are really nice Bolle's. Lily's are not.

Too Cute

Hobby horse is great. Take a video of her and let her hair fly when she is jumping up/down. She'll love you for it when she is 16.
Posted by: Auntie Dianne at June 27, 2005 04:48 PMHi Lily & Jon (Mommy & Daddy, too)
All of your pictures from this week are so great! Looks like you are all having a fabulous summer. The video was so cute also. Lily you are really speaking well. Thanks for sparking the "farmers market" idea for us, can't wait to take Bailey! We can't believe little Jon is already 6 months old, wow! He is such a handsome little guy. Let us know when you are available to play!
Big hugs,
Heather & Bailey (John, too)
Hi Everyone!
Wow--busy week! Happy 1/2 year birthday to Jon. Congrats to Nana for the trapeze act--way to go, girl! A great way to celebrate your youth!!! Lily looks so dainty with her hands folded and her legs crossed--I've seen her in action, she's really not dainty! Great pics--as always. Super pic of the kids and Smushie. Nice of Daddy and Lily in their sunglasses. Lily sure lioks like she's having fun on the pony--so when does she get the real thing?????
Next visit we'll have to take her to see Erica and Lizzy Lucy's horses--she'll probably think they're pretty tame after riding Ned!
Thanks for the update--Love you all!

Outside
Here you can see where Ray has been digging...the trench actually goes out much further in the yard. Lily is painting and Jon is Chillin'.

Happily Painting

Jon
The raised eyebrows totally remind me of Dad when he questions what I'm doing. :-)

Kisses!

Thunderstorms
We've had lots of rain and thunderstorms the past week. The night this one rolled in we lost power; a great excuse to turn in early!
Thanks Ray for the picture!

Lily Loves Her Animals

Ray's Company Picnic
This year the company picnic was held at the "Speedway". It was a bit loud at first but after the cars stopped zooming around it was quite peaceful. And, on a side note, there were NO BUGS! My kind of place. This picture caught that huge piece of chocolate goodness falling mercilessly to the ground. Lily was oblivious; she was too engrossed in her first ice cream treat.

Lily, you look like you are enjoying your ice cream so much! Jon, you are growing such beautiful hair and eyebrows! Hugs and kisses to you both!
Posted by: Nana at June 13, 2005 09:16 PMMmm. Lily that ice cream looks good - and I think you got MOST of it in your mouth! Jon is getting so big! I love you both!
Posted by: Auntie Katherine at June 14, 2005 06:08 AMWhat joy and fun you are all having! I have photos to share with you from Courtney's birthday party. We'll get together soon!
Posted by: Karlin's at June 14, 2005 10:03 AMHi Y'all!
First I must say, that after having four or so hurricanes go through here, I've never seen our sky look like that--that was pretty scary looking!
Good pic, Ray.
Okay--Jon's hair and eyebrows look really red to me! He's so cute--and I love the pic of Lily giving him a kiss! Lily is just too adorable, but we all know that. I can't believe that her mom actually dresses her up in the same color that she's painting with--pretty smart thinking, Mom!
You've got to teach Lily that anything chocolate is not allowed to fall on the ground, but if it does, the five second rule applies and it's still edible! She really looked like she was enjoying that!
Love you all!
Looking forward to seeing you in about 11 days!
Muma
Hi to all,
I think Lily is going to be an artist when she grows up! She is so sweet to Jon. Looks like they were having a good time while Daddy was working hard! Great storm photo. Aren't pools suppose to have water in them? Bet Jon would love that too! Well miss you all.
Love Aunt Bev
