February 14 - February 20 (J-Week 9)
What a week!
Before Lily broke her arm around 5PM on Valentine's Day (see previous entry) she had a great time playing with her new water table (thank you Muma!!!) However, she won't be able to play with it until March 18th when she gets her cast off.

Nemo
Lily loves to watch her videos from her new angel fish rocker.

Sniff
Thanks Jennifer and Courtney for Lily's flower and balloon; it kept her entertained for hours!

Bubbles!
At playgroup, Lily's friend, Lydia has an affinity for bubbles. Actually, the bubbles have an affinity for her! They just kept clinging to her head!

Oh Lily! You poor little pumpkin! I am so sad that you hurt your arm! I hope you are feeling better super soon... it looks like you've got some great new toys to play with since I saw you last! Only 21 days until I see you again! I will have to bring you some boo-boo prizes!!
I can't wait to meet you and hold you and kiss you Jon!
Always thinking of you,

Hi Jennifa!
Is it Friday yet? Okay, I bought the water table, but what is it??? It kinda looks like an indoor pool and Lily is about to dive in! I love her angelfish rocker-you all had rocking horses--what, they don't make them anymore? When you rode a rocking horse you would neigh and say whoa and clickety clop. Lily would really like a rocking lion, or elephant--she can make those sounds. What sound does an angelfish make? Okay, the world moves on and I'm still back a few years (all right, more than a few, but you're not supposed to notice). Jonathan is absolutely beautiful, he has the most perfect face. Beautiful skin, eyes, lips, ears and nose. He's even looking like he's going to have red hair. Please give Lily the curls! Actually, speaking of hair, Lily's is getting really long--it is such a beautiful shade of red. Okay, enough about how beautiful they are. Is it Friday yet? I can't wait 'til you all get here. Cribs are going up, swings coming out, chairs getting set up and lots of shopping for clothes. We're not too anxious or anything--wait a minute--yes we are!!!! Friday just isn't coming fast enough. I think I better go charge my camera batteries, I'm sure we'll be taking lots of pictures. I can't wait--is it Friday yet?????
Love you all lots.

**UPDATE 2-18-2005**
Lily got her "real" cast on Wednesday. She was such a trooper. Thank goodness we had Suzy (THANK YOU AUNTIE KATHERINE!!!)

We all want to say thank you to everyone for sending so many "get well" wishes! Lily loved getting flowers and sniffing EVERY one of them! She also loved the balloons and toys and cookies and hugs and kisses! Thank you everyone for being so supportive. Here's a pic of Lily among some of her "Get Well Wishes".

** END OF 2-18 UPDATE**
**2-16-2005**
Valentines Day just wasn't what it should have been.
Here is a picture of my baby being absolutely angelic.

We all had a great day; the weather was beautiful and after nap we went the park to play. It was glorious fun. On the way home we decided to stop and say hi to the neighbors. Long story short, Lily "ran" down a small grassy hill and fell into a tricycle. After determining that something wasn't right, she and I went to Children's Mercy. Six hours (and two trips to radiology for XRAYS) later, it was determined that she broke the two bones in her left forearm.
My poor, poor baby. :-(
We go Wednesday for her real cast. Right now she's just in a splint. Here she is Tuesday morning; just trying to make sense of the whole thing.

And, here's a pic of her XRAY.

Needless to say, I'm ready to put her in a plastic bubble with in-line suspension.
Hi Jennifa,
I just want you to know that that picture makes my heart ache. I so want to be there to hug and kiss her and make her all better. You and Ray should really think about moving closer (like next door), so that we can help you out when things get stressful--like now!
And that other picture--I know that she isn't angelic all the time--I've seen her temper that matches her hair--but she sure does look it in that picture. You gotta love that girl--she's too cute! Her hair seems to be coming in and it does look like it's getting curly--wow! Good luck at the doctors tomorrow. My heart is with you--I love you all so much.
Love always,
Muma
Bless her little heart...and your's too. I hope she's hanging in there. Please let us know if we can do anything (a visit to distract her a bit perhaps)?

Oh Lily! You poor baby girl, we feel so bad for you! PLEASE let us know if we can do anything to make life a little easier for all of you: run errands, take Jon for a bit so mommy & Lily can snuggle, anything at all! Gosh darn that silly tricycle! ((((((Big hugs & kisses to Lily from Bailey))))))
Posted by: Heather & Bailey at February 16, 2005 08:20 AMHi Lily,
You poor thing, you look so sad with your sling! Soon you'll be here and we can give you hugs and kisses! Hope you liked your flowers and make sure mommy lets you smell each one! Get well soon!!!!

To the Fallers, I mean Fullers:
Poor little Lily! Good job Jen. If Lily reads this blog when she is older, I'll tell her the real truth on how her arm was broken. The story will start out like this - It was a beautiful sunny Valentines Day in 2005, you were playing in a nice grassy yard, running around enjoying your childhood days. When all of a sudden Mommy got a mean-spurt and threw a tricycle right in front of you. You did a cartwheel and took a tumble. Shortly after, you had to be brought to the hospital and have your arm put in a sling. So if you have any more instances of Mommy being mean, you call Uncle Dan or G-Mom and we'll straighten Mommy out. Just playin Lily, Mommy is really a great person.
Love, Uncle Dan
Lily, honey, this is why Uncle Dan doesn't have children. :-)

Seems like Uncle Dan has it right. Good gracious, ya'll! That kid has got to toughen up and take it like a "man."
Just kidding. I know that's a scary thing for all of you. I also know I can't pull any strings with Child Protective Services unless you come to Florida. Then again, they would probably come closer to locking you up if I proclaimed your innocence. (Sorry, but I'm feeling my wheaties today.)
Can't wait until Lili is old enough to appreciate the guilt trips she can take you on. Sounds like she's going to be just like Mama.
I think it's pretty obvious why I would make a much better aunt than mother.
Really looking forward to seeing ya'll.
Have a safe trip - and give yourself a break(no more breaks for Lili).
Hope you're in a good mood when you read this.

Hi All,
Somehow I missed this week's entry and looking back today found it. This is too funny. A girl after my own heart with the chocolate chip pancakes! After all if you can't eat them the way you want it wouldn't be half as much fun! The Jon kisses are too cute and all of the photos are just too precious! Love it! Thanks
