December 20 - December 26 (J-Week 1)

By jon

My first entry!
Wow, after an exciting entrance into this world last week, this week has been quite calm. I've really just been chilling and learning about my new home. (I was evicted from my last home; it was very warm and cozy, but it was time for me to move on I guess.) This new home is pretty cool. I have a big sister who tends to make a lot of noise but I'm learning to sleep through it. The food around here is not too bad. For the first week it came from Mama but she was in a lot of pain and decided that I should be switched to formula for the sake of the entire family. That was on the 21st of this month. A lot happened that day. I lost my belly button (found it under the rocking chair...ick!), got my first taste of formula, my privates were healed and Mama changed my diaper for the first time! The guy who goes by "Daddy" had been changing it all the time. He seems pretty cool; the first night home, he actually let Mama go rest and watched me and my big sister; a feat Mama wouldn't even take on!
Here, in my new home, we also have a puppy. I think she's pretty cool; she gives me little kisses and I share my blankets with her.

Me & Smooshie

Got Wrinkles?
This is my "little-old-man" look.

Pucker Up
This is my perch. I'm on the changing table in the kitchen; Mama leaves me up here where I can look around and occasionally snooze. It keeps me out of Lily's way.

Big Sister In Her New Hat
Lily got a new hat from Aunt Mary (Desy-Bull) that she wears proudly. Aunt Mary got me a new wooden baby rattle...that Lily has "borrowed". I'm so good at sharing!

CHRISTMAS!
My first Christmas was pretty cool even if I was only 10 days old! My Uncle Artie got me a cool construction set that I let Lily play with since I'm still a wee bit small, but thank you Uncle Art for making sure I had a cool toy to "open". And, thank you to everyone else for such wonderful Christmas gifts for me and Lily; you were all very generous, thank you.

Lily's New Vanity
Thank you Aunt Bev & Uncle Art!

Opening Presents
Lily looked like she had a great time opening all of her gifts. A special thanks to Nana for being there on Christmas morning to share in all the fun (and gifts!)

Red Hair?
That's the question that everyone has been asking. "What color hair does he have?" I'd say it's a toss up. I have light brown hair with a red "glo" and I have wicked blond eyebrows. Here's a pic of my hair right after bath when it's all fuzzy.

Lily's A Big Girl In Her 2T Clothes
Yeah, they're still a bit big, but they do fit!

Thank You!
Again, thank you to everyone for a wonderful Christmas; you were all very kind. I hope that your holidays were enjoyable and that you all have a great New Years. Stay safe.
