Soccer Boy

Jon starts soccer practice on March 4th so we went out this evening and got him some new shoes, shorts and socks/shin guards.  He was pretty excited to try it all on.  He was probably even more excited to not be wearing Lily’s old soccer stuff.  Lily got some new shoes and shorts for the spring soccer season as well, pictures of her are coming soon.

Builder

Lily and Jon work on building this city last night before bed. After all their hard work they didn’t want to put it all away, so they left it set up knowing that when Evan got up it could all be destroyed.

a city of blocks

Evan and I came downstairs this morning and the block city was of course the first thing he saw. I put him down and he ran right over to it, looked all around and then picked a block up off the floor and added it to the city. 30 minutes later it is still standing. Maybe he is going to be a builder vs a destroyer, only time will tell.

Super Heroes

The kids decided to play super heroes this morning.

Olympic Viewing

We have been trying to introduce the kids to the concept of the Olympics, they didn’t really get it at first but really liked the snow boarding. In fact they liked it so much they have to get their equipment ready everytime we watch.

Lily’s First Grade program

Last Thursday we were treated to a little entertainment courtesy of the Riverview Falcons first grade. You have to look close but you can pick out Lily and hear her speaking part about Langston Hughes. The program was titles S is for sunflower and was in celebration of Kansas Day.

A visit from the police

The other day while at Walmart Jen picked up a new toy for the kids, she then proceeded to send me a text message that said she should not be allowed to take the kids to Walmart. The toy she bought was a police car rider, why we needed another rider is a story for another day.
